Hollis St. Jamboree
The Hollis Street Jamboree is September 14th from 1pm to 6pm at the Hollis Street House of Hope, 8304 Hollis Street in Douglasville.
We will have bounce houses, a balloon twister artist, kids activities, a spades tournament, informational tables, music, and a cookout with grilled chicken.
Please park in the Simpson Mortuary parking lot.
September Saturdays Festival
Heroes Day + Touch-a-Truck Experience will feature equipment and vehicles from military, law enforcement, public safety, and community service agencies in addition to featuring booths from schools of the Douglas County School System in which the schools will promote and explain their programs, and possibly raise funds for the school.

The festival will feature representatives from area industries and businesses that could have jobs available!
Friday Night Art Walk October 4, 2019 6 pm-10 pm with reception at the Douglas County Museum of History & Art.
Join us for a fun evening in down downtown Douglasville, GA. Visit and shop with your favorite artists and artisans. Art will be located on Broad Street and other locations near O’Neal Plaza as well.

The Annual ‘Music and Arts on the Plaza’ Festival is a much-anticipated event that features an Artist Market with work of artists, artisans, and craftspeople from around the region.
The Art Adventure Alley showcases artists demonstrations and hands on activities for all ages.
All day entertainment will be electrifying the stage and festival area as indie artists from an array of genres entertain with soul stirring gospel, toe tapping jazz, blues & country, to finger popping R&B, & Pop. If it’s great music expect to hear it coming from the stage.

FREE ADMISSION – The 2019 Fall Festival and Safety Expo sponsored by the Douglasville Police Department is happening on Saturday, October 12, 2019, from 10am – 4 pm at the Douglasville Police Department, 2083 Fairburn Road, Douglasville, GA. 30135.
This is a big event with vendors, touch-a-truck, K-9 demonstration, bounce houses, and more. Vendor Registration deadline is October 4th. This is a rain or shine event.
Vendors are needed.
Guidelines for Vendors:
o October 12, 2019 – Set up from 07:00 am – 9:30 am (NO SET UPS AFTER 9:30 am) RAIN OR SHINE
o Space rental is $25.00 – Table / tent / electricity are the responsibility of the vendor and will not be provided. NON-REFUNDABLE.
o Set up and take down of booth will be the responsibility of the vendor in the designated area.
Hunters Harvest Fall Festival and Arts & Crafts Show
The 5th annual Hunters Harvest Fall Festival and Arts & Craft show at Hunter Park will be held on November 16, 2019 from 12 pm-3 pm. This event will feature vendors from all over West Georgia and Metro ATL with various arts & crafts and food and beverage items.
The festival will also include a children’s play zone featuring inflatables and other amenities for $5. Children 3 and under are free inside the play zone.

The 2020 1st annual Black History Extravaganza is happening Saturday,
February 29, 2020 from 11 am to 5 pm at Douglas County High School, 8705
Campbellton St, Douglasville GA 30134. The Extravaganza programming is
family-oriented day and rooted in Celebrating the African Diaspora.
There will be panel discussions, educational activities, art gallery,
children’s activities, health and wellness sessions, storytelling,
community connection circles, youth performances, musical and dance
performances, food, goods, and services vendors, workshops, and so much
more.
The event is free and open to the public.
